Musician /  Actor Musician Call Out

 

Motherlode is seeking a musician or actor musician for it’s 2018 show Exodus.

 

Following the success of Motherlodes first production The Good Earth, Exodus is a new play created by Rachael Boulton, which tours Wales and London between the 5th of October and 20th of November 2018.

 

This role is open to women and men. 

Applicants must be based or have a base in South Wales.

We encourage musicians from non British backgrounds to apply.

 

The following skills are required.

 

  • Strong violinistic ability required with good base technique.  

  • Music includes double stopping and position changes.

  • Ability to play whilst moving is paramount.

  • Ability to work as part of an ensemble is essential.

  • Good attitude towards touring a diverse range of venues is essential.

 

Commitment

Applicants must be fully available for the following dates.

Rehearsals between September 3rd and September 29th.

Touring Wales between 1st October and 30th October

Touring outside Wales 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th November.

 

Pay

Rehearsals £460 per week

Touring Wales £460 per week

Touring outside Wales £100 per day.

Travel and accommodation during touring arranged by the company.

Touring per diems inline with equity provided by the company.

 

Project base.

Cardiff and Aberdare.

Deadline for applicants to submit their video is Friday 13th April.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to audition on 21st April in Cardiff.
