Newport, November 3rd 1839. The night before the last major armed rebellion in British history, five bawdy women are up to their necks in trouble.

1839. Working class men from all over Great Britain have left their homes to march on Monmouth and demand the right to vote in what would become the last major armed rebellion in Britain. Meanwhile, the women of Wales take to life on the water in a bid to survive. 

Currently in development, Rhum is Motherlode's second production, co - produced with Theatr Brycheiniog, in association with Riverfront Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre. Supported by Arts Council Wales.
